During the latest WWE SmackDown episode held in Lyon, France, two new challengers were announced for the Women’s Championships, including the Women’s and Women’s United States Titles. Notably, the challenger for the women’s US title was determined in a mere seven seconds.

In the second match of the August 29 episode, Michin’ faced off against Kiana James and secured her position as the new contender for Giulia’s US title in just 7 seconds. Kiana attempted to attack Michin’ with a loaded purse, but Michin’ countered and pinned her quickly, although she was subsequently attacked by James and Giulia, who was present at ringside.

This match marked Michin’s debut on WWE SmackDown and her first appearance since mid-July, where she lost to Michin’ on Main Event. Commentary highlighted that the 36-year-old Michin has yet to win a title during her time in WWE, while Giulia has held the women’s US title for over two months after winning it from Zelina Vega.

Giulia claimed the championship during a special WWE SmackDown episode in late June, held in Saudi Arabia. Since then, she has defended the mid-card women’s title once against Vega in a rematch. Giulia is recognized as the second champion of this newly established title.

WWE SmackDown: Jade Cargill Secures Another Title Match

In another segment on WWE SmackDown, Jade Cargill announced that she has been named the number-one contender for Tiffany Stratton's Women’s Title after winning their tag team match against Nia Jax and Becky Lynch last week.

Stratton responded by reminding Cargill that she had previously defeated her during their first encounter at SummerSlam. She also boasted about her undefeated streak this year since winning the title in the first episode of WWE SmackDown in 2025. Cargill asserted that it’s only a matter of time before she claims the title from Stratton. The exact timing for these challengers' title opportunities remains unconfirmed.
