Tricity Open Tennis Tournament Semifinals Results

In a thrilling display of talent, Samrat Das triumphed over Manav Gill with a score of 8-1, securing his spot in the boys’ U-14 semifinals at the Tricity Open Tennis Tournament, hosted by the Sports Department at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium and Lake Sports Complex.


Ruhaan also advanced by defeating Aarav Garg 8-2, while Aarnav Singh claimed victory against Manik with an 8-1 scoreline. The final match saw Abhijay Saini narrowly beat Ikshaan 8-6.


In the boys’ U-18 semifinals, Daksh Kapoor showcased his skills with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Mohit Singh. Meanwhile, Japjit Kaur Badhohal secured her place in the girls’ U-18 final by overcoming Ditti Prajapat 6-3, 6-3, and Mannat Awasthi defeated Florence Bhumbak 6-2, 6-2.


In the men’s open singles, Daksh Kapoor continued his winning streak against Ayaan Chandel with an 8-2 victory, while Shourya Jishtu outperformed Devansh Parajuli 8-3. Vrishin Awasthi faced a tough challenge but managed to defeat Prabh Sharan Singh 8-7(3). In the women’s final, Mannat Awasthi dominated Bhumika Rohilla, winning 6-3, 6-0.


In the girls’ U-14 semifinals, Divnoor Kaur convincingly defeated Alisha Dahiya 6-1, 6-1, and Inayat Mittal secured a hard-fought victory over Heena Mehta with a comeback win of 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.


Munish Kumar advanced to the men’s 35+ singles final after a decisive 6-1, 6-0 win against Vishal Gautam, while Sahil Mittal ousted Sandeep Singh with a score of 6-4, 6-0. In the men’s doubles, the duo of Shyam Jagat and Sukhbir Singh defeated Tarun Bhumbri and Ajay Yashpal 9-0.
