Delhi Premier League 2025 Auction Highlights

The auction for the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 saw a significant influx of funds directed towards young talent. Players who have previously participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL) attracted considerable bids during this event. The second season of DPL has welcomed two new teams, bringing the total number of teams to eight, as announced by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). The Outer Delhi team was acquired by a consortium led by Savita Paints Private Limited for ₹10.6 crores, while the New Delhi team was purchased for ₹9.2 crores by a group including Bhima Tolling and Traffic Solutions and Crayon Advertising Limited.


Players Sold in the Auction

Among the notable transactions, fast bowler Simarjeet Singh, who played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025, was bought by Central Delhi Kings for ₹39 lakhs. Spinner Digvijay Rathi, previously with Lucknow Super Giants, was acquired by South Delhi Superstars for ₹38 lakhs. Additionally, Nitish Rana was purchased by West Delhi Lions for ₹34 lakhs, while spinner Suyash Sharma joined Outer Delhi Warriors for ₹15 lakhs. Team India fast bowler Ishant Sharma was acquired by West Delhi Lions for ₹13 lakhs, and Prince Yadav was bought by New Delhi Tigers for ₹33 lakhs.
