Comprehensive Support for Indian Contingent

Aichi-Nagoya [Japan], September 22: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has bolstered its support for the Indian team participating in the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 by implementing various logistical and athlete assistance initiatives.

A specialized Reception and Assistance Team, which includes members from the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), SAI, and the Indian Embassy in Japan, has been stationed at the airport. Their role is to greet athletes, coaches, and support personnel upon arrival, help with entry procedures, and offer refreshments and guidance for their journey to the Games venues and accommodations.

To further enhance the experience for the contingent, SAI has rolled out several key measures:

Transport for Shooters: Dedicated transport services have been arranged to facilitate the travel of Indian shooters to and from their competition sites.

Medical Team Mobility: Vehicles have been organized to ensure that medical teams can swiftly navigate between venues, providing timely medical assistance as needed.

Additional Accommodation: Extra rooms have been secured for coaches and support staff who were unable to find lodging through the Organising Committee due to limited space.

By collaborating closely with the IOA, the Indian Embassy, and the Games Organising Committee, SAI is ensuring that logistical, medical, and operational support is well-coordinated, allowing athletes to concentrate on their performance during the Games.
