The Emirates Eagles have officially announced their participation in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, showcasing a strong cricket lineup. The team will be led by West Indies' Rovman Powell, with renowned international coach Mickey Arthur at the helm, alongside notable signings like Trent Boult and Shimron Hetmyer. The tournament is scheduled to take place at Zayed Cricket Stadium from November 7 to November 20.
Dynamic Leadership and Talented Roster
The franchise has demonstrated its ambitions by forming a seasoned leadership team and a robust roster of international players, poised to make an immediate impact in the fast-paced format of T10 cricket. Rovman Powell, known for his explosive batting, will captain the team, while Mickey Arthur, who has coached several international teams, will direct the cricketing strategy. Trent Boult, a left-arm fast bowler from New Zealand, is expected to excel in wicket-taking, and Shimron Hetmyer will add significant batting strength.

Matt Boucher, the CEO of the tournament and Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub, expressed excitement about the Emirates Eagles' vision. Ownership's Commitment to Growth
The ownership group, Maverick Sports and Entertainment, includes Annam Satish Prabhakar, Classic Investments, Kondaveeti Durga Pavan Kumar, Bonam Suryaprakash, Annam Kusumkiran, and Allada Ashok Vardhan. They view their entry into the Abu Dhabi T10 as a significant step towards expanding their footprint in franchise cricket, aiming to develop Emirates Eagles into a competitive and sustainable global sports brand.
Annam Satish Prabhakar, Managing Director of Emirates Eagles, stated, "We are entering the Abu Dhabi T10 with a long-term vision for Emirates Eagles. Captain Powell on Establishing a Bold Identity
Rovman Powell's extensive experience in both international and franchise cricket will be crucial as the team seeks to establish its identity. Known for his aggressive middle-order batting, Powell remarked, "Joining a new franchise at the start of its journey is special because you can help shape its identity from the beginning. T10 cricket requires confidence and a willingness to take risks, and I believe our squad possesses those traits."

Robust Management Team
The franchise's leadership will be supported by Chief Operating Officer Sandeep Yara, an Indian first-class cricketer with a background in franchise operations, digital marketing, and brand development. Nabeel Hashmi will serve as Team Director, bringing three years of experience as Team Manager of Deccan Gladiators, further enhancing the Eagles' management team.
