In a remarkable display, India's Elavenil Valarivan and Parth Mane achieved second place in the qualification round for the 10m air rifle mixed team event at the Asian Games 2026, scoring 634.9. Their impressive performance positions them as strong contenders for a medal in this category.

China led the qualification with a record-breaking score of 638.9, surpassing the previous world record of 636.9. India started strong, reaching 211.9 after 20 shots, and maintained their momentum to finish with 634.9, also exceeding the existing Asian record.

China completed its qualification ahead of all other teams, with Sheng Lihao, who participated in the men's 10m air rifle qualification, helping secure their early finish. South Korea and Iran were still finalizing their shots when both China and India concluded their rounds, with final standings pending completion from all teams.

New Final Format Introduced

This year, the final format has undergone changes. Instead of having separate matches for gold and bronze, all four qualified teams will compete simultaneously in a final that mirrors the individual events, featuring periodic eliminations.
