Day Four Highlights of the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2026

On Thursday, the fourth day of the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2026 took place at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Bihar. Teams including Delhi Hockey, Hockey Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh Hockey, Hockey Jammu & Kashmir, Hockey Mizoram, and Hockey Bihar secured victories in their matches. Meanwhile, Assam Hockey and Le Puducherry Hockey ended their match in a draw.


Delhi Hockey's Unstoppable Performance

In the opening match, Delhi Hockey showcased an extraordinary performance, defeating Hockey Gujarat with a staggering score of 30-0 in Pool A of Division B. Siddharth was the standout player, netting eight goals (11', 14', 14', 15', 26', 26', 32', 47'). Aryan contributed five goals (22', 26', 33', 39', 51'), while Sehrawat Sushant and Singh Yuvraj each scored four goals. Rihan added a hat-trick (12', 30', 50'), and Luv, Ibrahim Haroon, and Purshottam each scored two goals to complete the overwhelming victory.


Other Notable Matches

In the second match of the day, Hockey Uttarakhand narrowly defeated Telangana Hockey 4-0, with Kumar Aman scoring a hat-trick (41', 44', 53') and Vikash Kashyap adding another goal (45').


Chhattisgarh Hockey triumphed over Hockey Karnataka with a score of 4-1, thanks to goals from Lavi Manikpuri (27'), Abhishek Yadav (29'), Mini Rohan (44'), and Om Kumar Yadav (60'). Harshavardhan Naganaboina Vinayakasree (4') scored the only goal for Hockey Karnataka.


In a close match in Division C, Pool B, Hockey Jammu & Kashmir defeated Hockey Rajasthan 2-1. Sukhpreet Singh (10') and Harmandeep Singh (33') scored for Jammu & Kashmir, while Gurshan Singh (36') managed a consolation goal for Rajasthan.


Hockey Mizoram also had a strong showing against Hockey Andhra Pradesh in Pool A of Division C, with Captain Joseph Malsawmtluanga scoring a hat-trick (26', 30', 36') and Jacob Lalawmpuia (36') contributing another goal.


In the final match of Pool B in Division B, Hockey Bihar won 3-1 against Hockey Himachal, led by Captain Abhay Singh's two goals (6', 11') and a goal from Amritanshu Pandey (28'). Pankaj Verma (31') scored for Hockey Himachal.


The day concluded with a thrilling 2-2 draw between Assam Hockey and Le Puducherry Hockey in Pool A of Division C. Captain Sajal Biswas scored both goals for Le Puducherry (3', 29'), while Rithik (18') and Manikandan (43') found the net for Assam.
