Rajkot: Daryl Mitchell played a pivotal role in New Zealand's seven-wicket victory over India in the second ODI, scoring an impressive unbeaten 131. He formed a crucial partnership of 162 runs with Will Young, who contributed 87 runs, helping New Zealand level the series.

In pursuit of a challenging target of 285 runs on a sluggish pitch, New Zealand successfully reached their goal in just 47.3 overs, with Mitchell leading the charge.

The final match of the series is set to take place in Indore on Sunday.

Earlier in the match, KL Rahul showcased his batting prowess with a solid 112, guiding India to a total of 284 for seven.

India started strong with Rohit Sharma (24) and captain Shubhman Gill (56) putting together a 70-run opening partnership. However, disciplined bowling from the Kiwi spinners shifted the momentum during the middle overs.

Despite getting starts, Virat Kohli (23) and Ravindra Jadeja (27) were unable to convert their innings into significant scores.
