Zinc Football Academy Secures Dramatic Draw Against Mumbay FC in I-League 3

Imphal (Manipur) - On April 30, Zinc Football Academy (ZFA) fought hard to earn a 2-2 draw against Mumbay FC in their second Group B match of the I-League 3. The game, held at the SAI Turf Ground, was filled with excitement, culminating in a last-minute equalizer that showcased the resilience of ZFA.
The match began with Mumbay FC leveraging their experience and physical play to control the early stages. Their strategy, which relied on long balls and winning second balls, posed significant challenges for ZFA. However, ZFA quickly adapted their tactics around the 15-minute mark, switching from a 4-1-4-1 formation to a more aggressive 4-4-2 setup.
This tactical shift allowed ZFA to press higher up the pitch, effectively disrupting Mumbay FC's build-up play. The game then settled into a more balanced affair, with both teams creating opportunities, but the first half ended without any goals.
After the break, ZFA took the lead early on. Winger Abith showcased his skills on the left flank, delivering a dangerous cross that experienced striker Naro Hari Shrestha converted, putting ZFA ahead 1-0.
However, Mumbay FC responded quickly, equalizing from a set-piece just minutes later, which shifted the momentum back in their favor. The match continued to ebb and flow.

Although ZFA did not secure all three points, their fighting spirit kept them at the top of Group B with four points.
