Yograj Singh Criticizes Ravichandran Ashwin Over Arjun Tendulkar Comments

Yograj Singh's Outburst Against Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin, the renowned Indian cricketer, has found himself at the center of controversy following remarks made by Yograj Singh. The former cricketer expressed his displeasure regarding Ashwin's comments about Arjun Tendulkar, who recently joined the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the upcoming 2026 Indian Premier League season. This will mark Arjun's first season with the team, having transferred from the Mumbai Indians (MI) through a trade deal.

In a recent YouTube video, Ashwin suggested that Arjun might struggle to secure a spot in LSG's playing XI due to the team's strong pace-bowling lineup, which includes notable players like Mohammed Shami and Avesh Khan. While Ashwin's assessment was based on logical reasoning, Yograj Singh was not pleased with his critique. He questioned Ashwin's authority to comment on Arjun's abilities, despite Ashwin being India's second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket.

Yograj, the father of Yuvraj Singh, defended Arjun, emphasizing his lineage as Sachin Tendulkar's son and criticized Ashwin's remarks as unfounded. He stated, "He is talking nonsense, this guy, Ashwin. He should be mindful of what he says about others. Who are you to judge?" Yograj further elaborated on Arjun's potential, asserting that with proper guidance, he could excel as a batter. He even challenged that if Arjun trained with him for six months, he would surpass all other batters, or he would shave off his beard.
