Celebration in Lucknow

On March 17, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath graced the wedding reception of Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav and his partner Vanshika at The Centrum Hotel in Lucknow.

The couple exchanged vows on March 14 at Welcomhotel The Savoy in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Viral videos from the celebration featured former cricketers Suresh Raina and Mohammad Kaif, along with current players Yuzvendra Chahal and Rinku Singh, reveling in the festivities.

CM Yogi shared a moment from the event on X, stating, “Today, I had the honor of attending the post-wedding reception of Indian cricketer Shri Kuldeep Yadav Ji and offered my blessings to the newlyweds.”

Kuldeep and Vanshika's engagement took place in a private ceremony in Lucknow last June, attended by close family members only.

This wedding follows Team India's impressive performance at the T20 World Cup 2026, where they triumphed over New Zealand in the finals, securing back-to-back T20 titles.

The final match, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8, saw India score a formidable 255 runs, bolstered by half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Sanju Samson. New Zealand struggled in their chase, getting bowled out for 159 runs.

Interestingly, Kuldeep participated in just one match during the World Cup, against Pakistan, where he recorded figures of 1/14 in three overs.

After India's T20 World Cup victory, Kuldeep expressed his joy, calling it a significant achievement for the team.

In an interview, he remarked, “This victory is crucial. The tournament went exceptionally well for us, and we have been preparing for this moment for a long time. Competing in ICC tournaments is all about winning the trophy. I extend my congratulations to the team and appreciate the fans for their unwavering support. I am particularly thrilled for Sanju Samson, who showcased outstanding performance.”

“Having shared my cricketing journey with him since the Under-12s, it brings me immense joy to see him receive the rewards of his dedication over the years,” he added.
