VVS Laxman's Spiritual Visit to Tirumala

On March 4, former Indian cricket star VVS Laxman made a visit to the revered Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, where he offered special prayers to Lord Venkateswara.

Upon his arrival at the temple, he was warmly welcomed by the priests and officials, who greeted him in traditional style.

Laxman took part in the temple rituals and had the opportunity to have darshan of the deity, all while surrounded by tight security and fellow devotees.

The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, situated in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, is an ancient and highly esteemed Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (Balaji), perched on the seventh peak of the Seshachalam Hills.

During his illustrious career, Laxman played 134 Test matches for India, amassing a total of 8,781 runs in 225 innings, with an impressive average of 45.97. His record includes 17 centuries and 56 half-centuries, with a top score of 281.

In addition to his Test career, he also represented India in 86 One Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 2,338 runs at an average of 30.76, which includes six centuries and ten half-centuries, with a best score of 131.

Laxman's ability to save matches and his partnerships with lower-order batsmen earned him the affectionate nickname 'Very Very Special' Laxman.
