Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], December 26: In a thrilling encounter during the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26, Gujarat's left-arm spinner Vishal Jayswal received a signed match ball from Indian cricket star Virat Kohli following the match against Delhi at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1.


Although Gujarat fell short by seven runs, Vishal Jayswal stood out with remarkable bowling figures of 4/42 in his 10 overs. His performance included the prized wicket of Virat Kohli, who was stumped by wicketkeeper Urvil Patel after scoring a solid 77 runs off 61 balls, featuring 13 boundaries and a six, at a strike rate of 126.23. Kohli had been in excellent form, having scored a century in the tournament's opening match, which led to Delhi's four-wicket victory.


In addition to Kohli, Jayswal also took the wickets of Delhi's opener Arpit Rana (10), Nitish Rana (12), and captain Rishabh Pant, who contributed 70 runs.

Aarya Desai's 57 and a late effort from Saurav Chauhan (49) were not enough, as Gujarat was bowled out for 247 in 47.4 overs. Prince Yadav was instrumental for Delhi, claiming 3/37, while Ishant Sharma and Navdeep Saini provided key breakthroughs.
