The 16-year-old, fresh off his first junior win in Vizag last week, carded an even-par 72, establishing a three-shot lead over Haryana's Prince Bainsla, who finished with a score of 74 in Category 'A' (ages 15-17). Tamil Nadu's Nilofer Sivamoorthy followed closely in third with a score of 74.

After a slow start, Vihaan made a significant move by sinking a nine-foot putt for birdie on the ninth hole. He continued his momentum with a remarkable 35-foot birdie on the 13th. Despite hitting the trees on the right during his drive, he managed to reach the green in three but missed an eight-foot par attempt.

Putting that setback behind him, he birdied the 16th hole, bringing his score to two-under for the day. However, he faced challenges on the 17th and 18th holes, three-putting from 20 feet, which resulted in a final score of even-par 72.
