Del Bosque's Insights on the Upcoming Final

New York [US], July 18 (Media House): Vicente del Bosque, the former coach of Spain, has expressed confidence that Spain will have the upper hand in the FIFA World Cup final. However, he cautioned that Argentina's resilience, tactical discipline, and wealth of experience make them a formidable opponent.

Del Bosque commended Spain's performance throughout the tournament, noting their control, confidence, and ability to dictate match tempo.

The highly anticipated World Cup final is set to take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday (local time), featuring Spain and Argentina.

Having led Spain to their first FIFA World Cup victory in 2010, where they triumphed over the Netherlands 1-0 in South Africa, Del Bosque has a keen understanding of the stakes involved.

In an interview with El Pais, he remarked, “Argentina is a challenging team, a real nuisance, and they know precisely what they need to do.”

He further added, “While I see Spain as the favorites, they must remain cautious of the Argentines due to their experience and the difficulties they present. In the matches we've observed, Argentina has played on their own terms, showcasing dominance, assurance, and confidence.”

Spain has proven their mettle by reaching the final after a remarkable journey, bouncing back from an initial draw against Cape Verde to secure six consecutive victories. They have conceded only one goal throughout the tournament and advanced to the final following a decisive 2-0 win over France in the semi-finals.

As Spain aims for their second FIFA World Cup title, 16 years after their historic win in 2010, Argentina seeks to become the first team since Brazil in 1962 to defend their title successfully.
