Vaibhav Suryavanshi Receives India U19 Call-Up for Australia Tour
Bihar Cricket Association Celebrates Young Talent
Patna (Bihar) [India], July 31: Rakesh Tiwari, the president of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), expressed his congratulations to the promising young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his selection in the India under-19 team for the upcoming tour of Australia.
Vaibhav, who gained attention during the IPL 2025, showcased his skills on the recent England tour. In the fourth ODI against the England under-19 team, the 14-year-old batter scored a remarkable century off just 52 balls, setting a new record for the fastest hundred in Youth ODIs.
Tiwari praised Vaibhav's achievements, stating, “We have great expectations for Vaibhav. His performances have brought pride to both Bihar and India, and this tour presents an excellent opportunity for him to demonstrate his abilities. I wish him all the best as he embarks on this new journey.”
Furthermore, Tiwari emphasized the BCA's dedication to fostering and supporting emerging talents like Suryavanshi within the state. “The Bihar Cricket Association is committed to creating opportunities for young players like Vaibhav. His success will inspire many aspiring cricketers in Bihar. We believe he will continue to excel in the cricketing arena,” he added.
The India U19 team is set to compete in three one-day matches and two multi-day games against the Australia U19 squad, scheduled to take place at Norths ground in Australia from September 21 to October 10.
India Under-19 squad includes: Ayush Mhatre (captain), Vihaan Malhotra (vice-captain), Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Vedant Trivedi, Rahul Kumar, Abhigyan Kundu (wicketkeeper), Harvansh Singh (wicketkeeper), R S Ambrish, Kanishk Chouhan, Naman Pushpak, Henil Patel, D Deepesh, Kishan Kumar, Anmoljeet Singh, Khilan Patel, Udhav Mohan, Aman Chauhan.
