He has now set the record for the fastest player to reach 500 runs in IPL history, achieving this feat off just 227 balls. This milestone makes him the first player to score 500 runs in under 250 balls in the tournament's history. Sooryavanshi, who debuted in IPL 2025, ended his first season with 252 runs from 122 balls. In the current season, he has already amassed 254 runs. Following him is Glenn Maxwell, who reached the 500-run mark in 260 balls. Maxwell began his IPL journey with Delhi Capitals and has also played for teams like Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Priyansh Arya ranks third, having reached the 500-run milestone in 278 balls. Arya is in fierce competition with Sooryavanshi, and one of them may receive a call-up to the national team after the current IPL season. He was previously selected for the India A squad in 2025.


Virender Sehwag, who was once the fastest to achieve this milestone, is now fourth on the list, having completed it in 280 balls. Sehwag started his IPL career with Delhi in 2008 and played until 2013, later joining Punjab Kings for two seasons before retiring. He also served as a coach for the franchise from 2016 to 2018. Naman Dhir from Mumbai Indians is another notable player, reaching the 500-run mark in 283 balls. Dhir began his IPL career in 2024 and has shown consistent performance over the seasons.
