In a remarkable display of batting, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Urvil Patel scored an astonishing 65 runs off just 23 balls, propelling CSK to a thrilling victory against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Patel showcased his explosive form by hitting six sixes in his first seven deliveries, achieving the joint fastest fifty in IPL history in just 13 balls. Following this milestone, he emotionally revealed a handwritten note stating, "This is for you, Papa," which quickly gained traction on social media, adding a heartfelt element to his outstanding performance. Although his innings concluded at the hands of Shahbaz Ahmed, Patel's onslaught included a total of eight sixes, leaving a significant mark on the match.

Urvil's journey has been significantly shaped by his father, Mukesh Patel, who was a university-level sprinter before becoming a physical training instructor. Recognizing Urvil's talent early on, Mukesh dedicated himself to enhancing his son's fitness and cricketing skills. His commitment bore fruit when CSK acquired Urvil for 30 lakh in the IPL 2025 auction. Mukesh previously expressed his disappointment when Urvil went unsold, stating, “When Urvil was not selected in the IPL Auction, we were all very nervous and so much disappointed that we didn’t eat for two days,” as reported in 2024. He also shared insights into Urvil's rigorous training regimen, humorously noting, “He must have eaten more than three big bags of chana till now. It is said that chana is the food of horses. My son can also run like a horse on the field. At 55, I too can run faster and compete with anyone.”

In the meantime, CSK has kept its playoff hopes intact following a commendable victory over LSG.
