Women’s Premier League 2027 Schedule and Auction

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to take place from January 14 to February 7, 2027, with the auction scheduled for October 28, 2026, in Kochi, as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday.

While the BCCI has confirmed the dates, it has yet to reveal the cities that will host the matches for this edition of the WPL.

The BCCI emphasized the significance of the TATA WPL, stating, “As the premier T20 league in women’s cricket, it has become a vital platform for the sport's development, uniting top players from India and across the globe while providing opportunities for emerging talents to showcase their skills at the highest level.”

The deadline for player retention is set for September 28, allowing the five franchises to keep players from their current rosters as they strategize for the upcoming season.

In the previous edition of the WPL in 2026, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, captained by Smriti Mandhana, secured their second title, with matches taking place in Navi Mumbai and Baroda.

The inaugural WPL was launched in 2023, and both the Mumbai Indians and RCB have each claimed two titles.
