UP Warriorz Secures Victory Against Mumbai Indians

Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 15: In a thrilling encounter in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), UP Warriorz clinched a convincing seven-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians on Thursday, breaking their losing streak in the tournament.


After facing three consecutive losses, the team led by Abhishek Nayar found their rhythm again, thanks to an outstanding performance by Harleen Deol. She scored an impressive 64 runs off 39 balls, hitting 12 boundaries, as UP chased down the target of 162 runs in just 18.1 overs.


The match began with a solid opening partnership between captain Meg Lanning and Kiran Navgire, who put together 42 runs. Lanning was dismissed for 25 runs by Nat Sciver-Brunt, who struck again in the same over to remove Navgire, leaving UP at 45/2 in 6.5 overs.
