Promoting Humanity Through Blood Donation
Agartala (Tripura) [India], September 11: On Friday, Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation as a hallmark of humanity, urging the younger generation to actively participate in this noble cause within the state.
According to the Tripura Chief Minister's Office, Saha noted, “Currently, blood donation initiatives have become ingrained in our culture. It is essential for more individuals to engage in these programs.”
This statement was made during the unveiling of marble statues of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda, alongside the inauguration of a blood donation camp at the Netaji Subhas Regional Coaching Centre (NSRCC), organized by the Tripura Sports Council.
During the event, Saha highlighted that both Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda exemplify patriotism and humanitarian values.
He remarked, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dedicated to the nation’s development, inspired by the principles of Vivekananda and Netaji. The more individuals embody these ideals, both personally and socially, the better our society will be guided.”
The Chief Minister also pointed out that voluntary blood donation fosters a positive societal atmosphere.
“Increased youth involvement in sports and social welfare initiatives will expedite the creation of a drug-free and progressive Tripura,” Saha added.
He further stated that alongside academic pursuits, sports can significantly enhance one’s socio-economic standing.
