Amanpreet Singh Gill's Untimely Demise

New Delhi, May 7: Amanpreet Singh Gill, who once played alongside cricket stars Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja in the India U19 team, has sadly passed away at the age of 36. The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) announced his death on social media, revealing that he died on Wednesday morning.


Born on September 16, 1989, in Chandigarh, Punjab, Amanpreet was a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He represented India in the Under-19 squad during the 2007 tri-nation tournament held in Sri Lanka, where he claimed nine wickets across five matches.


Throughout his career, Amanpreet participated in six First-Class matches, achieving 11 wickets with an average of 54.72.


The PCA expressed profound sadness over his passing, honoring him as a committed contributor to cricket. They extended their condolences to his family, stating, “Punjab Cricket Association deeply mourns the sad demise of Amanpreet Singh Gill, former Punjab cricketer and Member of the Senior Selection Committee. He dedicated his life to Punjab cricket, representing teams such as India Under-19s and Kings XI Punjab. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
