Refund Guidelines for Ticket Holders

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh - The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has released a set of instructions regarding ticket refunds after the T20 match between India and South Africa was called off due to heavy fog at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

For those who purchased tickets online, refunds will be processed digitally, and notifications will be sent to their registered email addresses shortly.

According to the UPCA announcement, fans who bought tickets offline can claim their refunds on December 20 and 21, from 11 am to 6 pm IST, at the box office located at Gate No. 2 of the Ekana International Cricket Stadium. Offline purchasers must present the original ticket along with a government-issued ID and complete a refund form that includes their bank details to facilitate a smooth refund process.

Special refund counters will be set up at the venue for this purpose.

It is essential for offline ticket holders to be present in person and bring their original tickets and a copy of their Government ID for verification.

Once verification is complete, refunds will be credited directly to the bank accounts specified in the refund forms.

Refunds will only be initiated after thorough verification of the submitted documents and information.

The match in Lucknow was slated to start at 7:30 pm IST on December 17, with the toss scheduled for 7:00 pm. However, after six inspections, the umpires determined that the conditions were not suitable for play, leading to the match being abandoned without any balls bowled. The last inspection occurred at 9:25 pm.

The final T20I between India and South Africa is set to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on December 19.
