In a discussion on the PBKS podcast, Brar shared that one of his cherished cricket memories is dismissing Kohli in an IPL 2023 match. He recounted the heated exchange from last Sunday, explaining that Kohli was inadvertently annoyed by a toss on the pitch.

Brar Reflects on the Incident

Brar expressed his gratitude for having performed well against Kohli, stating, "That wicket is a huge memory for me." He recalled that during an afternoon match, the captain instructed the team to make one-bounce throws. While everyone complied, Kohli remained silent. Brar executed a proper throw, but confusion arose when Marcus Stoinis hesitated, leading to Kohli's glare from the non-striker's end. Brar chose to avoid eye contact, hoping the tension would dissipate after the over.

“I thought once the over ended, he would forget about it. But no. When I was about to start my run-up, he came to me and said, ‘It’s been 20 years.’ I explained, ‘You’re taking it the wrong way. I didn’t throw it intentionally. We were just trying to reverse the ball for the death overs.’ However, the match never reached that stage,” Brar added.

Ultimately, PBKS fell short in their chase of 223 runs, marking their sixth consecutive defeat in the IPL 2026 season, significantly impacting their playoff aspirations. In contrast, RCB celebrated their ninth victory in 13 matches, securing a top-two finish.
