Tejal Rajendra Salve's Remarkable Achievement

Bangkok, Thailand - March 28: Tejal Rajendra Salve, an Indian Compound Archer and athlete representing the Vijayi Bharat Foundation (VBF), has made her mark by clinching two medals at the Archery Asia Cup - Stage 1 held in Bangkok.


The 18-year-old from Jalna, Maharashtra, earned a bronze medal in the Women’s Individual Compound event on Friday. Additionally, she contributed to the Indian Women’s Compound Team, securing a silver medal, as reported in an official release.


Tejal has been gaining recognition in the Indian Archery scene recently, initially as part of the team that set a new U-21 World Record in compound archery. Her impressive performance at SAI Sonipat also earned her a spot on the Indian team for the upcoming Asia Cup - Stage 2 in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.


In the match for the bronze medal, Tejal triumphed over Mariia Dimidiuk from AIN with a score of 144 to 138. She, along with teammates Raj Kaur and Chikitha Taniparthi, narrowly missed out on gold, finishing with a score of 227 against Kazakhstan's 229.
