Sweden Prepares for Tough Match Against France
Los Angeles [US], June 30 (Media House): Graham Potter, the coach of the Swedish national team, expressed that he perceives no significant weaknesses in the French squad, highlighting their exceptional quality in every position.
As Sweden gears up for their round-of-32 match against the formidable French team in the FIFA World Cup, Potter emphasized the necessity for his players to perform at their peak and strive for near perfection.
He remarked, “Weakness isn’t a term I would associate with this French team. They possess talent throughout. We must play the best game of our lives,” according to reports.
Potter further stated, “We need to be as close to perfect as possible. We are fully aware of the opponent's quality and hold them in high regard,” he added.
France showcased their dominance during the group stage, netting 10 goals and winning all three matches against Senegal, Norway, and Iraq.
On the other hand, Sweden concluded their group stage in third place, trailing behind the Netherlands and Japan. They kicked off their campaign with a strong 5-1 victory over Tunisia but faced a heavy 5-1 loss against the Netherlands in their second match.
Nevertheless, they managed to secure a spot in the knockout stage with a 1-1 draw against Japan in their final group match.
