Mumbai (Maharashtra) - June 15: Swara Jadhav, a 13-year-old cricket prodigy from SoBo Mumbai Falcons, concluded an impressive season by securing the Purple Cap in the first-ever T20 Mumbai Women’s League. Entering the tournament as the youngest player, Swara emerged as a joint leading wicket-taker, claiming 10 wickets and significantly contributing to her team's championship victory.
In an impressive feat, Swara matched the wicket tally of her captain, Sayali Satghare, who is also an international player for India. The young talent thrived in a competitive environment that encouraged emerging players to shine alongside seasoned athletes like Sayali. The Falcons' successful blend of youthful energy, experienced leadership, and a team-first mentality played a crucial role in their title win.

Swara's performance was marked by impressive consistency, achieving an economy rate of 4.49 while frequently delivering key breakthroughs. She kicked off the tournament with figures of 1/19 against Thane Sky Risers and followed it up with a match-winning performance of 3/19 against Akash Tigers MWS. Her subsequent performances included 2/12 against Akash Tigers MWS and 2/22 against Thane Sky Risers, steadily climbing the wicket-taking leaderboard. In the final against Akash Tigers MWS, she delivered another vital spell of 2/14, aiding SoBo Mumbai Falcons in clinching a 25-run victory and the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League title.
