Subhadeep Ghosh Appointed as Fielding Coach for Indian Men's Cricket Team

Subhadeep Ghosh Takes on New Role

Guwahati (Assam) [India], August 3: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) warmly congratulates Subhadeep Ghosh on his recent appointment as the Fielding Coach for the Indian Senior Men's Cricket Team.

Ghosh steps in to fill the position previously held by T Dilip.

At 57 years old, Ghosh brings valuable experience, having served as the fielding coach for the Indian women's team for two years. During this time, he contributed to the support staff for both the 2022 Women's ODI World Cup and the 2023 Women's T20 World Cup.

His coaching journey also includes working with India A and leading Assam's senior men's team as head coach.

As a player, Ghosh was a right-handed batsman who played for Assam and Railways, participating in 17 first-class matches and 17 List A games throughout his domestic career.

Ghosh's first challenge with the senior men's team will be the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in August.

The series kicks off on August 15 in Galle, with the second Test set for August 23 at the SSC in Colombo.

Prior to the series, the Indian team will engage in a three-day practice match in Colombo starting August 7.

The Assam Cricket Association is immensely proud of this achievement by one of its own, viewing Ghosh's appointment as a significant honor for the state's cricket community and a source of inspiration for budding cricketers and coaches in the region.
