Argentina and Spain Reach the World Cup Final
Argentina, the defending champions, achieved a dramatic 2-1 victory over England in the semifinals, coming back from a first-half deficit. Enzo Fernandez equalized before Lautaro Martinez scored a last-minute winner, propelling Argentina into the final against Spain.
This victory dashed England's hopes of reaching their first World Cup final since 1966.
Spain, meanwhile, secured their spot in the final for the first time since their 2010 victory, defeating France 2-0. Lamine Yamal was instrumental in the win, winning a penalty that Mikel Oyarzabal converted in the 22nd minute.
Pedro Porro extended Spain's lead after halftime, and despite a disallowed goal for Yamal and late attempts from Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni, Spain's defense remained resolute, achieving their sixth clean sheet in seven matches.
This victory marks Spain's second appearance in a World Cup final.
