Sri Lanka Cricket Confirms National Player Contracts
Colombo, Sri Lanka - On June 2, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officially announced the selection of 46 players who will receive National Player Contracts for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.
The contract period is set to commence on April 1, 2026, and will conclude on March 31, 2027, as per the announcement from SLC.
Players have been classified into categories A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and Central Contract based on various factors including their performance, consistency, fitness levels, potential, and the strategic needs of the national teams.
The purpose of these contracts is to provide the selected athletes with essential support, structure, and resources, enabling them to excel in their performance while also contributing to the long-term growth of cricket in Sri Lanka.
Newly added players to the National Player Contracts include Kamil Mishara, Lasith Croospulle, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, Isitha Wijesundera, Wanuja Sahan, Dilum Sudeera, and Tharindu Rathnayake.
This initiative underscores SLC's ongoing dedication to recognizing performance, fostering emerging talent, and ensuring a robust pool of players ready to represent Sri Lanka in various international formats.
