After a short break after the second Test match against England in Visakhapatnam, the Indian players gathered in Rajkot. The Rohit Sharma-led side looked to be putting in the hard yards for the third game as they will be desperate for a win to take the lead in the series. According to reports in India today, the Rohit Sharma-led team is staying at Sayaji Hotel in Rajkot and will stay there till February 19. According to reports, it has been learned that skipper Rohit Sharma along with KL Rahul have been given a suite each for the Royal Heritage theme and the skipper has got a presidential suite room.

England players are also likely to come to Rajkot on Monday (February 12) evening. The team led by Ben Stokes went to Abu Dhabi for a short break after the second game. The visitors will practice in Rajkot for the next two days before the third Test begins on February 15.

England have played a sensational brand of cricket in the ongoing Test series. They started the series very well by beating India in Hyderabad. The Ben Stokes-led side were on top of the game in the second game but could not finish well as they suffered a disappointing defeat.

They will be keen to win the third Test and take the lead in the series. Given the kind of cricket they have displayed in cricket, it will not be a surprise if they take a 2-1 lead in Rajkot.

What I try and do is give the players that freedom - Rohit Sharma on his leadership
Rohit Sharma recently spoke about his leadership and said that it is the toughest job in cricket. He pointed out that as a captain it is important to ensure that everyone gets what they want. He added that his focus is on giving players freedom. Speaking during an event, he explained:

“Perhaps the hardest job of a leader is to get everyone to do what you want them to do. Because they come with a different mindset and want to do what they want to do. That's what we try and talk about when everybody comes in because it's a team game and a game. What I try and do is give freedom and importance to the players... that they are very important to me.

Rohit Sharma did not get the kind of outing he wanted with the bat in the two Test matches against England. He failed in both the innings and will be hoping to set the stage on fire in the next match in Rajkot. India will have to fire with the bat if they are to fancy their chances of winning.
