Shubman Gill Sets New Record in Test Series
London [UK], July 31: Batter Shubman Gill has made history by surpassing the legendary Sunil Gavaskar for the highest number of runs scored by an Indian captain in a Test series.
This remarkable achievement occurred during the fifth Test match against England at The Oval in London.
At the conclusion of the first session, Gill remained not out at 15 runs off 23 balls, including three boundaries.
Throughout the series, Gill has amassed a total of 737 runs across nine innings, boasting an impressive average of 92.12, which includes four centuries and a top score of 269. He currently leads as the top run-scorer in the series.
