Although Rashid Khan took all three Indian wickets, including those of Samson, Abhishek, and Iyer, Ishan Kishan (38*) and Tilak Varma (15*) ensured a smooth finish to the chase.
During the post-match presentation, Iyer expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, emphasizing their desire for a strong showing following the previous match. With the series already secured, he mentioned that the upcoming third T20I could serve as an opportunity for players who have not yet participated to gain some match time.
Iyer stated, "After the last match, we were aiming for a comprehensive win, and today we achieved that. The journey is often unpredictable, and maintaining balance is crucial. Embracing the situation leads to better outcomes. Regarding the third T20I, we want everyone to acclimate to the pitch and gain practice, so it will be a good chance for those who have been sidelined."
Reddy, who was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding performance, shared his feelings of physical readiness and credited his training at the Centre of Excellence (COE). He expressed his ambition to become a top all-rounder and highlighted the importance of self-confidence in achieving his goals.
"I feel great physically. The work we've done at the COE has been beneficial. My aspiration has always been to be a great all-rounder, and I'm working on increasing my pace. It's all about self-belief, as this game can change unexpectedly," Reddy remarked.
