Seema Kaliraman's Remarkable Achievement

Seema Kaliraman, a research scholar at Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU) in Bhiwani, has successfully qualified for the discus throw event at the upcoming Asian Games.


According to a spokesperson from the university, Seema is currently pursuing her PhD in the Department of Physical Education.


Prof. Deepti Dharmani, the Vice-Chancellor of CBLU, expressed her congratulations, stating that Seema's achievement is a source of pride for both the university and the local community. She commended the sports department for its role in fostering athletic talent.

Hailing from Bhiwani, Seema is focusing her PhD research on ‘Imagery and Positive Self-Talk Training on Athletic Performance.’ Recently, she clinched a gold medal at the South Asian Senior Athletics Championship held in Ranchi. Her top throw this season reached 57.18 meters during the National Inter-State Athletics Meet in Chennai.


After overcoming a significant knee injury that sidelined her for over three years, Seema remarked on her impressive comeback and expressed her determination to secure a medal for India at the Asian Games.
