Dominant Performance by SOBO Mumbai Falcons

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 3: In a thrilling display of cricket during the inaugural Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai Women’s League, Indian cricketer Sayali Satghare showcased her exceptional skills once again on Wednesday. Leading her team, the SOBO Mumbai Falcons, to a convincing seven-wicket victory over the Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs, Satghare's all-round performance was pivotal in securing their second consecutive win in the tournament.

Satghare set the tone early with a remarkable bowling performance, taking four wickets and making an impact right from the first over, which put the Tigers under significant pressure. Alongside the disciplined bowling unit of the Falcons, she ensured that the opposition struggled to find their footing throughout the innings.

Teenage sensation Swara Jadhav also made her mark, claiming three wickets for just 19 runs, effectively dismantling the middle order and stifling any chance of recovery for the Tigers.

Choosing to bat first, the Aakash Tigers faced a tough challenge against the relentless bowling attack of the Falcons. Sanika Chalke managed to score 21 runs, but the rest of the batting lineup faltered, leading to a total of only 113 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs.

In response, the Falcons quickly bounced back from a shaky start. Simran Shaikh contributed 23 runs, while substitute Sarika Koli remained unbeaten at 33. Captain Satghare also played a crucial role, scoring 30 not out. Together, they formed a solid partnership, guiding the team to victory with 25 balls to spare.

Earlier in the men's match on Tuesday, the SOBO Mumbai Falcons faced a setback, losing to Shivam Dube's ARCS Andheri by five wickets. After opting to field, Dube excelled with three wickets, while Ajay Mishra matched his efforts. The Falcons were bowled out for 126 runs in 18.2 overs, with wicketkeeper Aditya Tare scoring a commendable 59 runs off 39 balls. In reply, Andheri chased down the target comfortably, thanks to Divyansh Saxena's quickfire 50.

Brief Scores: Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburb 113/9 in 20 overs (Sanika Chalke 21, Manali Dakshini 18; Sayali Satghare 4/29, Swara Jadhav 3/19) lost to SOBO Mumbai Falcons 117/3 in 15.5 overs (Sarika Koli 33 not out, Sayali Satghare 30 not out, Simran Shaikh 23) by seven wickets.
