Inauguration of the Saurashtra Pro T20 League

On June 7, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya officially launched the Saurashtra Pro T20 League at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, Gujarat.


This league is dedicated to showcasing and developing cricket talent from the Saurashtra region.


During the inauguration, Mandaviya emphasized the importance of this tournament in providing opportunities for local players.


He stated, “The Saurashtra Cricket Association is behind the organization of the Saurashtra Pro T20 League, and it will feature only players from Saurashtra.”


Mandaviya pointed out that this initiative would serve as a crucial platform for players aspiring to elevate their game.


“Players from Saurashtra will be well-prepared to compete in the IPL and international matches,” he expressed, showing faith in the cricketing capabilities of the region.


He also acknowledged the increasing passion for cricket within Saurashtra.


“The environment for cricket in Saurashtra is very positive,” he noted, commending the Saurashtra Cricket Association for their dedication to nurturing grassroots talent.


The Saurashtra Pro T20 League aims to offer essential match experience to budding cricketers and act as a feeder for future cricket stars from the area.


Taking place at the prestigious Niranjan Shah Stadium, the tournament will feature five teams: Anmol Kings Halar, Aryan Sorath Lions, Dita Gohilwad Titans, Zalawad Strikers, and JMD Kutch Riders. The league will run from June 7 to June 20, comprising approximately 21 matches, culminating in a final.
