Talwar and Sheoran Share the Lead

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], March 14: After the third round of the US$300,000 (INR 2.7 crore) Indorama Ventures Open Golf Championship 2026, Saptak Talwar and Dhruv Sheoran have emerged as co-leaders at the Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf Club.

Both players finished the day with a total score of eight-under 208, with Saptak posting rounds of 68, 71, and 69, while Dhruv recorded scores of 69, 69, and 70. Saptak's impressive error-free round of 69 allowed him to move up three spots, while Dhruv's consistent performance helped him gain one position.

Manu Gandas achieved the joint lowest score of the day with a 67, propelling him to third place at seven-under 209. Aryaman Aditya Mohan also matched this score, finishing tied for fourth at six-under 210 alongside Arjun Prasad (69) and France's Clement Sordet (71).

Talwar, who started the day tied for fourth and two shots behind the leaders, showcased his skills with three birdies from 10 to 20 feet on the fourth, eighth, and twelfth holes. Reflecting on his performance, he stated, “I’ve been giving myself plenty of opportunities for birdies. Although my putting hasn’t been as effective as I’d hoped, I’ve managed to keep my mistakes to a minimum with just three bogeys over the first three rounds. I believe my game is improving. This course is quite challenging off the tees, and I feel I’ve handled my tee shots well.”

Dhruv Sheoran, who began the day in third place, also made significant strides. The Gurugram golfer, a three-time titleholder, recorded four birdies against two bogeys on Saturday. He noted, “I adhered to my game plan and focused on keeping the ball in play. When the wind picked up, I adjusted my shots accordingly. I’m looking forward to the final round and will rely on my experiences from the recent 72 The League competition, which has prepared me for high-pressure situations.”

Meanwhile, the joint leaders from the halfway mark, Jhared Hack and Brijesh Kumar, struggled with scores of 74 and 76, respectively, causing them to drop down the leaderboard. Jhared is now tied for seventh at five-under 211, while Brijesh is tied for sixteenth at three-under 213.
