Regarded as the greatest batsman in cricket history, Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for the most runs scored in all formats of the game. After retiring from professional cricket in 2013, he has remained active in various legends leagues globally. Recently, it was announced that Tendulkar will be back on the field during the upcoming International Masters League (IML) 2026. The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 24 to November 14, 2026, across three venues: Mumbai, Vadodara, and Visakhapatnam.

In addition to Tendulkar, the inaugural season of the IML featured cricket legends such as Brian Lara, Shane Watson, Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, and Kumar Sangakkara. The first season garnered immense popularity, becoming the second most-viewed T20 league in India, with a staggering 246 million views across television and online platforms.

Teams Competing in IML Season 2

This upcoming season will see six teams representing India, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, England, and Sri Lanka. The official team line-ups will be disclosed in the months leading up to the tournament. Sunil Gavaskar, the league's commissioner and a cricketing icon himself, expressed excitement about the upcoming season, stating, "Season 1 of the IML reaffirmed that the magic of cricket's greatest icons continues to resonate deeply with fans.
