The Indian women's blind cricket team achieved a historic victory by defeating Nepal by seven wickets in Colombo. After choosing to field first, the Indian bowlers showcased an impressive performance, restricting Nepal to a total of 114 runs for 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
During the chase, the Indian batters quickly surpassed the 100-run mark within the first 10 overs, eliminating any potential threats. Opener Phula Saren was instrumental in this victory, scoring 44 runs off just 27 balls, which included four boundaries. Her outstanding performance led India to successfully chase down the target in the 13th over, securing the championship title. Alongside her, fellow opener Karuna K also contributed significantly with a rapid 42 runs off 27 balls.
