On the occasion marking 19 years since his debut for India, Rohit Sharma was awarded the Padma Shri by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. This recognition took place during the second Civil Investiture Ceremony held on June 23, where a total of 65 individuals were honored. Rohit expressed immense joy upon receiving this esteemed accolade, which ranks as India's fourth-highest civilian honor. Notable figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, were present as the cricketing icon accepted the award.
