At the age of 39 years and 80 days, Sharma became the oldest player to score an ODI century at Lord's, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar for the oldest Indian to achieve an international century at this historic venue.

He now holds the record for the most ODI centuries by a visiting player in England, with a total of eight centuries. This record is only matched by Joe Root (10) and Marcus Trescothick (8) for the overall most ODI centuries scored in England.
