SC Delhi's head coach, Tomasz Tchorz, made strategic changes to the lineup, introducing Rodriguinho and Colombian forward Duvan Mina, while C.P. Wanigasooriya of Defenders FC opted for a single change, bringing in forward S. Aravinraj.

A Dominant First Half

SC Delhi started the match with an explosive pace, quickly establishing a three-goal lead within the first 13 minutes, with Rodriguinho scoring a rapid hat-trick.

He opened the scoring with a brilliant individual effort, expertly controlling a pass before evading his defender and finishing with a composed left-footed shot into the bottom corner. Just a minute later, he doubled his tally, converting a well-placed through ball from Mohammed Aimen with a precise left-footed strike.

Rodriguinho completed his hat-trick shortly after, finishing a slick attacking move initiated by Mohammed Azhar, who delivered a long ball to Yanglem Sanatomba Singh, setting up a simple finish for the Brazilian.

In the 34th minute, SC Delhi extended their lead to 4-0, with Aimen scoring after receiving a perfectly timed long ball from Lalrinliana Hnamte, showcasing excellent control and composure.

Second Half Adjustments

SC Delhi dominated the first half, controlling 61% of possession and creating nine attempts on goal, four of which found the net. Defenders FC struggled to break free, managing only one shot on target before halftime.

After the break, SC Delhi's coach made two substitutions, bringing in Juan Sebastian Pena and Mohammed Kaif. Pena quickly made an impact, testing the Defenders FC goalkeeper with powerful shots.

Defenders FC appeared more organized in the second half, showing improved defensive discipline and limiting SC Delhi's clear chances, forcing them to rely on long-range efforts.

Despite their efforts to counter-attack, SC Delhi's defense remained vigilant, intercepting passes and preventing meaningful opportunities for Defenders FC.

Closing Stages of the Match

Defenders FC finally registered their first shot on target in the 85th minute, but SC Delhi's goalkeeper, Nora Fernandes, made a comfortable save. Shortly after, SC Delhi's 16-year-old substitute, Thokchom Diamond Singh, nearly added to the scoreline with a skillful effort, but the goalkeeper was equal to the task.

Rodriguinho capped off his extraordinary performance by scoring his fourth goal in the 89th minute, curling a left-footed shot into the far corner. The scoring continued in stoppage time when substitute Juan Sebastian Pena added another goal, dribbling past two defenders to make it 6-0.

In the fifth minute of added time, Rodriguinho completed his five-goal haul with a composed finish, sealing a memorable 7-0 victory for SC Delhi.
