Mohammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan are on the verge of joining an exclusive group as they prepare for their upcoming matches in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this season. Rizwan is captaining Rawalpindiz, while Shadab represents Islamabad United. Rizwan is set to play on Saturday (April 18) against Lahore Qalandars, marking a significant moment as he approaches his 100th PSL match, joining Babar Azam in this elite club. Rizwan made his PSL debut during the league's inaugural season and has been a consistent presence since then.

Shadab, who debuted in the PSL in 2017, has been a key player for Islamabad United, accumulating 1517 runs and taking 114 wickets throughout his T20 career. Their next match will see Islamabad face off against Rawalpindiz.

Rizwan's journey in the PSL began with a strong performance, scoring 103 runs in his debut season for Lahore Qalandars in 2016, followed by 130 runs in the next. His performance fluctuated in subsequent years, with 88 runs in 2018 and 79 runs in 2019, and a rare scoreless inning in 2020. However, Rizwan has been in exceptional form during PSL 2026, amassing 500, 546, 550, 407, and 367 runs in his last five matches, although Rawalpindiz currently sits at the bottom of the points table, having lost all five of their matches.

Shadab's PSL career began in 2017, where he took 9 wickets in 8 matches, and he has consistently improved his performance in the following seasons, with wicket tallies of 9, 11, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, and 14 in successive years.
