Riya Jadon Shines on Day One of Women's Pro Golf Tour in Mysuru
Exciting Start at the Women's Pro Golf Tour
Mysuru (Karnataka) [India], June 11: Riya Jadon, a newcomer to the professional circuit this season, emerged as the top performer on the first day of the 7th Leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour held at the Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club. The 17-year-old golfer finished the day with an impressive score of 3-under 67, including two birdies, placing her in the lead.
Training at the DLF Golf Academy in Gurugram, Riya outperformed seasoned player Tvesa Malik, who ended the day with a score of 68. Anvvi Dahhiya and Vidhatri Urs also made their mark, both finishing under par with scores of 69 on the Par-70 course.
Amandeep Drall and Karishma Govind both recorded even par scores of 70.
Riya, who clinched the IGU Pune Ladies Championship in November 2025, turned professional earlier this year and previously secured a Tied-third finish at the third leg in Pune, where Tvesa Malik took the title. Riya began her round with a birdie, faced a bogey on the sixth hole, but quickly recovered with another birdie on the seventh, finishing the front nine at 1-under. On the back nine, she parred the first seven holes and concluded with two consecutive birdies.
Tvesa also started strong with a birdie but encountered back-to-back bogeys on the fourth and fifth holes, putting her at one-over. She bounced back with three birdies on the back nine to finish with a score of 68.
Both Anvvi Dahhiya and Vidhatri Urs recorded three birdies against two bogeys, resulting in their scores of 69.
Amandeep had four birdies but faced a double bogey and two bogeys, one occurring on the 18th hole. Karishma matched her with three birdies and three bogeys, tying them for fifth place.
Neha Tripathi, Ananya Garg, Durga Nittur, and amateur Ananyaa Sood were tied for seventh place, each scoring 71.
Notable players further down the leaderboard included Vani Kapoor with a score of 72 in T-11, while amateurs Zara Anand and Seher Atwal both finished with 73, placing them in T-16. Mannat Brar ended the day with a score of 76, landing her in T-30.
Ridhima Dilawari, a three-time winner this season, had a challenging start, finishing with a score of 77 that included three bogeys and two double bogeys.
