There have been several reports over the past few weeks suggesting that the team management may rest Jasprit Bumrah to manage his workload. The pacer has bowled around 58 overs in two Tests and is single-handedly handling the fast bowling department of the Indian team. However, with a gap of around 10 days between the second and third Tests, Jasprit Bumrah seems to have had more recovery time and is certain to play the match unless the fast bowler calls for rest himself. The Indian vice-captain is the highest wicket-taker for India with 15 wickets.

Reports claim that Jasprit Bumrah is keen to feature in all the five matches of the series. But he has been informed by the team management and selectors to rest in Ranchi, which will be the 4th match, in view of his injury issues which kept him out of action for a long time. As there is a gap of 8 days between the fourth and fifth Test, Jasprit Bumrah will then be available for the last match at Dharamshala. Reports add that Mohammad Siraj is set to return to the XI in the Rajkot Test and the team may be tempted to play an extra spinner if he fails to deliver in the game.

Jasprit Bumrah was one of the main reasons why India made a comeback in the Test series after losing the first match. The pacer showed his class on the batting-friendly Vizag surface and helped lead his team to a dominant position in both the innings.

He took six wickets in the first innings and then took an e wicket in the second innings. After his feat in the game, Jasprit Bumrah became the new No. 1 Test bowler in the ICC rankings. He will be hoping to replicate the same performance in the next match as well.

Jasprit Bumrah continues to shine but KS Bharat given final chance after poor performance - reports
Apart from the reports regarding Jasprit Bumrah, it is also learned that KS Bharath will be given one final chance to prove his worth with the bat in Rajkot. The keeper-batsman has failed to get through all four innings in two matches and has not looked quite settled at the crease.

Reports claim that if KS Bharat fails to make an impact with the bat in the Rajkot Test, then India will look to Dhruv Jurel for the last two matches. The keeper-batsman was added to the squad as the second keeper in the squad after the team management clarified that KL Rahul would not keep wickets.

KS Bharat was dropped from the Indian team earlier too. He was not part of the squad for the South Africa series. However, with Ishan Kishan ruled out of the England series and KL Rahul unwilling to keep the wicket, Bharath was recalled.
