Real Madrid and Alvaro Arbeloa End Coaching Relationship
Madrid, Spain - On June 10, Real Madrid announced the mutual decision to part ways with first-team coach Alvaro Arbeloa. The club made this announcement on Tuesday, expressing their appreciation for Arbeloa's long-standing connection with the team, which began in the youth academy and extended through his playing and coaching career.
In their official statement, Real Madrid commended Arbeloa for his unwavering loyalty, commitment, and professionalism throughout his tenure, emphasizing that he embodies the club's core values.
“Real Madrid CF and Alvaro Arbeloa have reached an agreement to conclude his role as first-team coach. The club is profoundly grateful to Arbeloa, who has consistently shown loyalty and professionalism since his days in our youth academy. He exemplifies our club's values,” the statement read.
“Real Madrid will always be his home, and we wish Alvaro Arbeloa and his family the best in this new chapter of their lives,” the statement concluded.
In a separate development, Real Madrid recently made headlines by submitting a €150 million bid to Atletico Madrid for star forward Julian Alvarez, which was subsequently rejected.
Following a Board of Directors meeting, Real Madrid confirmed the offer for the federative rights of the Argentine player. However, Atletico Madrid declined the proposal, citing the player's release clause as the reason for their decision.
“Real Madrid CF announces that, following today’s Board of Directors meeting, it has made an offer of €150 million to Club Atletico de Madrid for the federative rights of player Julian Alvarez,” the statement noted.
“After careful consideration, Atletico Madrid expressed gratitude for the offer, which was made in the spirit of good relations between the two clubs, but ultimately rejected it, referring to the player’s release clause,” the Real Madrid statement further explained.
