Colombo [Sri Lanka], August 7: Fans of Team India are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the exceptional all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, as he takes on Sri Lanka in the upcoming Test series. Jadeja has a notable history with the Lankan team, making this matchup particularly exciting.
After missing the recent Test against Afghanistan, Jadeja is ready to make his comeback in Sri Lanka, where the conditions favor spin bowlers. His last appearance in Test cricket was during India's disappointing series against South Africa at home last year.
In his seven Test matches against Sri Lanka, Jadeja has amassed 326 runs across nine innings, boasting an impressive average of 65.20, which includes a century and a half-century, with a top score of 175*. Additionally, he has claimed 33 wickets at an average of 23.72, featuring two five-wicket hauls and best bowling figures of 5/41.

In his Test career, Jadeja has participated in 89 matches, taking 348 wickets at an average of 25.11, with 17 four-wicket hauls, 15 five-wicket hauls, and three ten-wicket hauls, achieving best figures of 7/42. He has also scored 4,095 runs in 133 innings, averaging 38.27, with six centuries and eight fifties. His consistent performance with both bat and ball has solidified his status as one of the top all-rounders in contemporary cricket.
Looking ahead, Jadeja aims to reach the milestone of 400 Test wickets, with upcoming series against New Zealand (two Tests away) and Australia (five Tests at home) on the horizon. Achieving this feat would make him the fifth Indian bowler to do so.
