India managed to make a huge comeback in the five-match Test series against England and won the second Test by 106 runs. Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the show for India and took a total of nine wickets in the entire match. This included a six-fer in the first innings and it broke the back of England's batting line-up. Bumrah also became the first bowler in history to be ranked number one in the ICC rankings across all formats.

Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin while speaking on his YouTube channel praised the Indian right-arm fast bowler and said that he was a 'boomball' who was a showstopper in Vizag. Ashwin said that Bumrah is the highest wicket-taker in the series and is also the number one ranked Test bowler.

Ravichandran Ashwin praised Jasprit Bumrah
Ravichandran Ashwin said, “The real show-stealer is Boomball. Jasprit Bumrah has bowled exceptionally well. He is the highest wicket taker with 14 wickets and is also the number 1 Test bowler. I am a huge fan of it and this is a Himalayan achievement.

There was speculation that Jasprit Bumrah would be rested from the third Test due to his injury-plagued career, however, the Indian team selectors included him in the squad for the last three Tests. Bumrah has been named the team's vice-captain and will once again lead the Indian bowling attack.

The last few months have been very challenging for Jasprit Bumrah as a player. Bumrah recovered from his back injury last year after being away from international cricket for almost a year. Bumrah, it seemed, would not come back with the same energy and pace.

However, the pacer proved every cricket expert wrong as he managed to perform even better than before. Jasprit Bumrah has led the Indian pace attack really well and has once again proved to be the number one pacer for India. Coming back to the IND vs ENG Test series, the Indian selectors have left out batsman Shreyas Iyer for the last three Test matches due to his poor form. Fast bowler Akash Deep has been included in the squad while Virat Kohli has also been ruled out of the last three Test matches due to personal reasons.

The next match of the series will be played from February 15 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. The Indian cricket team gave a great team performance in the second Test match played in Visakhapatnam. However, there are still many issues for the party to address. The middle order is still inexperienced and has not performed throughout the series so far. India depended on the performance of individual players while the team did not perform to their full batting potential.
