Kolkata (West Bengal) - As the IPL 2026 approaches, Kolkata Knight Riders' explosive batsman Ramandeep Singh is feeling invigorated by the recent addition of Shane Watson and Andre Russell to the coaching staff as assistant and power coaches, respectively.
Since joining KKR in 2024, Ramandeep has played a pivotal role in the team's journey to their third IPL title, amassing 172 runs at an impressive strike rate of 167.9, alongside taking 6 wickets. His recent performance in the 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy showcased his talent, where he scored 209 runs at a strike rate of 195 and claimed 9 wickets in 10 matches, setting the stage for what could be his most successful season in the team's colors.
At 28, Ramandeep is focusing on customizing his gameplay to adapt to various pitch conditions and match situations. He stated, “This year, my strategy is highly situation-focused. I am enhancing my ability to read scenarios each time I bat, while also observing how the pitch changes to select the right shots.”
His achievements this season extend beyond batting, as he has also shown significant growth in his bowling skills. Eager to contribute as an all-rounder, he expressed, “If given the chance, I want to make an impact with the ball too. I believe I can excel in that role, and I am committed to giving my all on the field, hoping for positive outcomes.”
