Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had congratulated Sindhu on her groundbreaking achievement as the first Indian to win the Japan Open title, calling it a historic moment for Indian badminton. Her determination and exceptional skills were on full display throughout the tournament. The fact that she is the first Indian to win this title makes this achievement even more special. This victory not only marked Sindhu's first Super 750 title but also ended a title drought of over two years, making her the first Indian shuttler to claim the prestigious Japan Open. This win is her most significant achievement since she secured the BWF World Championships title in 2019.
